I’ve just purchased a three bedroom first floor purpose built flat inWillerby and I'm thinking about a lease extension as soon as possible e.g. in two years
I am the registered owner of a flat in Willerby with a leasehold unexpired around fivety five years and need a lease extension. Please can you clarify the next stages
I have shares in the freehold of 2 blocks of flats comprising of seven flats each. 2 of the leasehold owners want a lease extension and I'm curious about the the process
Hello. I need someone to review my lease extension prior to it being formalised just to make sure there's nothing that I haven't seen - it's just a surrender and regrant with a few minor variations.
I am looking to purchase a garden flat in Willerby with a lease of 54 years but unsure how much I will have to spend to renew so I can put in an offer given to future cost of a lease extension.
I wondered if you could help me on how much it would financials and the best way to start the lease extension process? I have just under fivety four years outstanding and I own a maisonette in Willerby.
We would like to extend our lease having owned the property for two years as of 1st April 2015. It has just over 54 years remaining currently. Hoping to get a lease extension by another 90 years as quickly and stress free as is reasonably achievable.
My property lawyers (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
Coming up to 2 years that I have owned my one bedroom first floor purpose built flat in Willerby. I have 59 yrs left on the lease. I am now wanting to buy a share of freehold or extend my lease. I purchased the property for 320K, it is now roughly 450k. I understand that 90 years is the period most people extend. I spoke to my lawyers about the process, he answered most of my questions but just have one left: What can I expect in terms of surveyors charges for a lease extension? Are they usually fixed or tend to increase over time (i.e. if the process drags to LVT)?
I am the freeholder of a property in Willerby and a leaseholder would like a lease extension. Her valuer has provided a figure of £8,000, but has upped this to £10,000 at the drop of a hat. My valuer has put forward a much higher figure. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to LVT. If a lease extension does go to a FTT, can I handle the matter myself, just equipped with the valuations I have? If not, what costs would I be likely to face?
