I'm about to make an offer on a house in Wide Open but I'm concerned about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Lloyds TSB Bank giving us the mortgage now?
I am looking to purchase a studio flat in Wide Open with a lease of 79 years but not sure how much it will cost me to renew so I can put in an offer given to future cost of a lease extension.
We had entered into a purchase of a ground floor flat in Wide Open. I was advised that the lease had been extended (seventy years left prior to extension). The sales particulars stated "sold with a long lease". It turns out as we are about to exchange of contracts we find that the lease has not been extended. The homeowner apparently has a quote but no money to extend as a result the seller wants to exchange and use the 10% deposit to extend the lease. My question is is it not odd that my didn't pick this up far earlier than just before exchange?
Me and my fiance have owned a leasehold flat for about twenty years. It now has 65 years remaining on the lease. Following a year of difficult negotiations through my and, mainly, surveyor I now have an offer from the freeholder. I now have to make a decision as to whether to accept it or go to a Tribunal and would welcome some independent thoughts.
We have been in discussion with our freeholder after having a valuation on our three bed flat in Wide Open. We have a seventy eight year lease and we wish to increase this to 99. The Freeholder has given us with a financial figure that she is happy with to accept for the extension of the lease, which we are happy with as well and wish to proceed. All we need now is a to handle this for us. Can you please provide me what your costs would be to act on the lease extension.
I'm looking at buying a flat in Wide Open valued at £210,000 the flat has approaching seventy nine years unexpired on the lease. My offer was conditional upon a lease extension... .. that was back in August, hoping I'd be in by now. The owner has just come back saying they'll knock £5k off if I deal with the lease extension myself. I'm not sure if I should take them up on the offer
I am the registered freeholder to two flats. Someone has the lease on the ground flat in Wide Open. I reside in the upper flat. I was reviewing the land registry documents last night when I noticed that my flat is leasehold. There is seventy three years left on the lease. If I want a lease extension then would I simply be paying for the costs?
I'm looking for some advice concerning a lease extension on my maisonette. The plan is to do this next winter as we have to move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the LVT route. You are able to recommend a good with expertise in lease extensions. Ideally someone in Wide Open area?
