Hello, I just randomly found your site. I'm looking for prices on what a lease extension will cost for a 2 bed apartment located in Wedmore. It's up for sale at the moment but has about 78 years of unexpired leasehold
I am looking to extend the lease on my maisonette in Wedmore which will have fivety six years outstanding in August. What fees do you charge for this?
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
My husband and I have a ground floor flat in Wedmore with 58 years unexpired. Ten months ago we were quoted a deal to have a lease extension for another 25 years but also increase ground rent from notional to £250 per year..plus a premium I think of approximately 9k. We have now decided to proceed but do we now have to renegotiate?
We have a GFF based in Wedmore. There is 80 years unexpired on the lease and we want a lease extension. What does it cost on average to get a lease extension by, say,25 years
My wife and I are considering buying a garden flat in Wedmore which is a leasehold. I am wondering what are the pros and cons of that - what happens when lease ends, how much it costs to extend it, can the freeholder of the land evict me from my own flat and block me from extending the lease?
We would like to extend our lease having owned the flat for 2 years as of 21st April 2015. It has nearly 58 years remaining currently. Hoping to get a lease extension by way of an additional 90 years as expeditiously and stress free as is reasonably achievable.
My solicitors (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
I was hoping you might be able to tell me the process of how to apply for a lease extension for my one bedroom apartment in Wedmore
