I have contacted my freeholder to extend my lease for my flat in Toton. His property lawyers has been in contact concerning charges etc. I need a quote for dealing with the legalities to secure a lease extension. The apartment currently has a 99 YR lease which started May 1990.
I am thinking about whether to purchase the freehold or a lease extension of my property in Toton and have been in touch with the freeholder, have had quote for around £3k to extend the lease. I will be doing a refinance with Norwich and Peterborough Building Society to free up equity. The adviser dealing with the remortgage suggested I get two estimates : one to extend the lease and one for outright acquisition .The lease commenced in 1979 and since then the ground rent has been raised from £25.00 per annum to £300 per annum.
I am in need of some help with a lease extension. I live in Dublin but the property in question is based in Toton. I would be grateful if you can give me a call when you get a chance to discuss the case.
I'm living at parents but have a 2 bed flat in Toton let out which has a sixety four year lease. Mortgage broker said I can remortgage as a buy to let instead of consent to let and release 55-60k which on top of a new mortgage based on my income. Not much about in Toton for me to get my own place. If I sell I will only get 150-160 due to tenant (8 months left on AST) and lease. A lease extension will cost 19k. Not sure sure whether to hold on or sell the flat?
Even though I may not need a lease extension but I do need a vesting order on a property I want to purchase in Toton. The house is freehold but the garden is officially leasehold, 1000 year lease from 1854. Its the rear garden.
I'm looking at buying an apartment in Toton at a price of £195,000 the flat has approaching 57 years remaining on the lease. I put in an offer conditional upon a lease extension... .. that was back in September, expecting I'd be in by Christmas. The owner has just informed the agent that they are prepared to knock £3k off if I deal with the lease extension myself. I'm not sure whether that's a good idea
We know that others in the same building had already had a lease extension, and the landlord was reasonable. Therefore is seems worth taking risk of not having formal valuation and calculate the initial offer on previous prices . This would save on double valuation charges. Would you suggest this course of action?
We wanted an estimate on the cost of a lease extension and a few more questions answered regarding a lease extension for my maisonette in Toton
I have a lease of sixety years remaining on my flat in Toton. We are looking for a lease extension, so we contacted our freehold company and they came back with a quote that was double the amount and half the extension time that the lease extension calculator provided. Is there anyway, without racking up a huge legal bill, we can ask the freehold company to provide their computation of the amount and how they derived to it?
