Hi, I am looking somewhere around or in The Borough 8-10 years lease remaining houses. I dont know if I am on the correct site. Can I find lease remaining houses from here?
My partner has an apartment located in The Borough which we have just put on the market. The leasehold has nearly seventy two years residual lease term on it and we are concerned this will come up for anyone who may be interested. I am after more information on how we get started on a lease extension? Many thanks.
I own a leasehold flat in the The Borough area and was enquiring whether I could get a lease extension. What are your processes and fees. There are sixety one years outstanding
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I am in need of some help with a lease extension. I live in Edinburgh but the flat in question is based in The Borough. I would be grateful if you can give me a call when you get a chance to discuss the case.
We are in the throws of buying a property (a studio flat based inThe Borough with share of freehold). During our search, we were always looking at properties that had at least 83 years remaining. We identified a flat we liked and the estate agent promised us that the lease was long albeit not specifying a number. Yesterday our conveyancing practitioners told us the lease only has 58 years and therefore needs a lease extension. Do we walk away, or do we negotiate our offer?
I am the freeholder of a property in The Borough and a leaseholder would like a lease extension. Her valuer has suggested a figure of £9,000, but has upped this to £10,000 without too much effort. My surveyor has come back with £12,520. Negotiations have broken down so it looks at though we need to go to a FTT. If a lease extension does go to a FTT, can I handle the matter myself, just equipped with the valuations I have? If not, what fee would I be likely to incur?
My wife and I are worried about obtaining a lease extension from tricky freeholder. Even though the correct procedures were followed under the 1993 Act, the landlord still tried to charge ground rent of £200 doubling every 25 years of the new term. Can you help?
I have sixety seven years remaining on my lease of a ground floor flat in The Borough, the Landlord requires a £25k premium for a statutory lease extension of 90yrs. I am looking for advice on whether this amount is too high
