I’m about to offer on a a property to purchase in the Sharnbrook area and was interested in finding out what the likely fees would be for a lease extension? It has 71 years as a balance left...
I am considering investing in a second home but it has a lease that expires in fifteen years. Its in Sharnbrook - I wanted to see if with your services it is possible for this to be extended?
I will soon view a two bedroom flat, although not exactly my ideal property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after obtaining a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has seventy one years outstanding on the lease. It is also a repo so I'm guessing that the vendor will not be interested in extending the lease. My main concern is would the short lease make it difficult to secure a mortgage?
I am a first time buyer of a leasehold flat in Sharnbrook. The lease has only 75 years outstanding and ground rent is £75. Is it possible for the flat owner to serve the Section 42 Notice and then transfer this right to me as the purchaser on the day of completion so that I don't have to wait for the two year qualifying period before I can apply to for a lease extension or have to deal with all this expense later? I have read this is achievable but will it be very time costly to the flat owner? To add to the complexity it’s the case of an absent freeholder, so I am not sure how does it work.
I have my suspicions that my niece is being hoodwinked. She put in an offer on a garden flat in Sharnbrook, where the lease is just under sixety five years but she was informed by the selling agents that the homeowner had extended it to 125 years. She has now been advised the flat owner was holding off for her to instruct conveyancers ahead of instigating the lease extension. Sounds underhand, also it will take months to sort it all out. Am I being too sceptical?
I am looking for advice as I am interested in a property that has only a sixety nine year lease and therefore requires a lease extension. Is it possible for me to talk with someone to go through my options please?
I own 50% in a shared ownership flat with a housing association and I am considering a lease extension on a lease which is now around seventy three years. I need a at my end. Can you advise please? I live near Sharnbrook and have a mortgage with Bank of Scotland.
Hi I am the freeholder reversion in a one bedroom flat in Sharnbrook. The leaseholder has a 70 year lease and would like to purchase another 90 years. She is offering me £27,000 but I am not sure if this is in the right ballpark
I'm looking at purchasing a flat in Sharnbrook at a price of £256,000 the flat has approaching 62 years left on the lease. My offer was conditional upon the lease being renewed... .. that was back in November, hoping I'd be in by now. The seller has just informed me they'll reduce the price by£2k if they don't have to deal with the lease extension. I'm unsure whether that's a good idea
I am the freeholder of a property in Sharnbrook where the leaseholder would like a lease extension. Her valuer has suggested a figure of £9,000, but has increased this to £10,000 without too much effort. My surveyor has come back with £12,520. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to a FTT. If a lease extension does go to a FTT, can I deal with this myself, just armed with the valuations I have? If not, what charges would I be likely to incur?
