I am looking for a rough estimate of what a lease extension will cost for a flat I would like to purchase. It has sixety seven years outstanding.
Hello. I need someone to have a look at my lease extension before it's formalised just to make sure there's nothing that I haven't seen - it's just a reissue with a few minor changes.
I inherited a three bedroom ground floor purpose built flat in Settle. The start date for the lease was in 1997 for 99 years. Now I am wanting for a lease extension. I am not entirely sure about further expenses, could you tell me please how much I should expect to spend on this?
Just been over 2 years that I have owned my three bed flat in Settle. I have seventy eight yrs left on the lease. I am now wanting to purchase a share of freehold or extend my lease. I acquired the property for 350K, it is now roughly 450k. I understand that 90 years is the period most people extend. I spoke to my conveyancing practitioners about the process, he answered most of my questions but just have one left: In terms of surveyors - how do I go about finding one?
I'm intent on purchasing a flat in Settle at a price of £195,000 the flat has just under 55 years left on the lease. My offer was conditional upon a lease extension... .. that was back in June, hoping I'd be in by now. The owner has just come back saying they'll reduce the price by£7k if they don't have to deal with the lease extension. I'm unsure whether that's a good idea
My partner and I are are hoping to complete on a maisonette in Settle which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was starting to get low so the vendor commenced extending the lease. The seller’s lawyer has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. A crucial aspect of the conveyancing process is for our lawyers to do a "priority search" on the lease. The problem here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our conveyancing practitioners it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new lease title number has not been issued. Is it right that we must be patient until the lease extension has actually been registered before completing.?
I own the freehold reversion of a property in Settle where the leaseholder has requested a lease extension. Her valuer has suggested a figure of £8,000, but has increased this by £2,000 without too much effort. My valuer has recommended a much higher figure. Negotiations have broken down so it looks at though we need to go to LVT. If a lease extension does go to tribunal, can I deal with this myself, just armed with the valuations I have? If not, what costs would I be likely to face?
I'm hoping for some advice with regard to a lease extension on my maisonette. The plan is to do this next autumn as we have to move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the LVT route. Should I look to complete the lease extension now or wait until I sell my place and have it all tied in with the property sale?
I have a lease of 67 years remaining on my flat in Settle. We are looking for a lease extension, so we contacted our freehold company and they came back with a quote that was double the amount and half the extension time that the lease extension calculator provided. Is there anyway, without racking up a huge legal bill, we can ask the freehold company to provide their computation of the amount and how they derived to it?
