Hello, I am looking somewhere around or in Seaburn 8-10 years lease remaining houses. I dont know if I am on the right site. Can I find lease remaining houses from here?
I am looking to extend the lease on my maisonette in Seaburn which will have sixety two years left in January. What fees do you charge for this?
We have seen a house for sale for £195k and we are very keen on but we've just found out that it is leasehold. There are 899 years outstanding so a lease extension is not a worry. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this correct? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without owning the property. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
I have a lease of 55 years on a property which I am looking to buy how much am I looking at for the cost to extend the lease?
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I have been in touch with my freeholder to extend my lease for my flat in Seaburn. Her has been in contact concerning costs etc. I need an estimate for dealing with the legalities to secure a lease extension. The flat currently has a 99 YR lease which started October 1994.
I have my suspicions that my daughter might be having the wool pulled over her eyes. She submitted an offer on a one bedroom apartment in Seaburn, where the lease is circa 67 years but she was advised by the selling agents that the homeowner had extended it to 125 years. She has now been informed the homeowner was holding off for her to appoint solicitors ahead of instigating the lease extension. Seems unscrupulous, also it may take time to sort it all out. Am I reading too much into it?
My apartment in Seaburn is up for sale and I have a hopefully firm offer. There is 79 years left on the lease and I want to extend the lease. How much does it cost on average to extend in this area by, say,35 years
I an interested in finding out more about leasehold property buying. We intend to buy a 1920s detached house which is leasehold property is there any problem involved or hidden costs. What are the downsides of purchasing a leasehold house in Seaburn area with a loft extension..We are really concerned as we are first time buyers...Please advise if we want to let the property?
If somebody owns a flat with a lease of less than 80 years, they can afford the lease extension by borrowing the funds against the property, and the value of the flat with the new lease will more than cover the cost of the extension, then is there any justification for not doing it?
