Common questions relating to Rowlands Gill Lease Extensions
We have just bought a ground floor flat located inRowlands Gill and I'm considering extending the lease as soon as practicable e.g. in two years
We have seen a house for sale for £195k and we are very keen on but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 798 years balance left so a lease extension is not a worry. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without the house being ours. Any information would be much appreciated.
I own a ground floor flat based in Rowlands Gill with a leasehold unexpired of 75 years. I am enquiring about how much it will cost me to extend my leasehold
I am thinking about whether to purchase the freehold or a lease extension of my property in Rowlands Gill and have been in touch with the freeholder, have had quote for around £3k to extend the lease. I plan to simultaneously refinance with Accord Mortgages Ltd to release of equity. My adviser dealing with the remortgage suggested I get two quotes : one for the lease extension and one for outright purchase .The lease commenced in 1991 and since then the ground rent has been raised from £38.00 per annum to £200 per annum.
I am about to view a two bedroom maisonette, although not exactly my perfect property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after obtaining a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has fivety five years balance left on the lease. It is also a repo so I'm guessing that the vendor will not be interested in doing a lease extension. My main concern is would it be difficult to sell on without a lease extension?
I am a landlord of a block of flats in Rowlands Gill, and the tenants are in the process of being granted lease extensions. I should hopefully get funds next month. How does the tax work, the property is in joint names with my partner ?
I own a share of the freehold. There are five flats in the building. All the leaseholders are now requiring lease extensions. Are you willing to assist us with this situation?
Hi I am the freeholder reversion in a one bedroom flat in Rowlands Gill. The leaseholder has a seventy nine year lease and would like to purchase another 90 years. He is offering me £27,000 but I am not sure if this is in the right ballpark
I am currently negotiating a lease extension for my flat in Rowlands Gill as it is coming up to the 80 year mark. As I understood it, if you extend your lease by the 90 years available, you pay a premium (£thousands) but the ground rent is reduced to a peppercorn. I am now told that I have to continue paying ground rent. I thought the major cost of a lease extension was to compensate the freeholder as they wouldn't be collecting ground rent anymore?
Do you handle lease extensions on land? (a plot of land in Rowlands Gill with 82yrs remaining)
