FAQs concerning Rainham Kent Lease Extensions
I own a flat in Rainham Kent with a leasehold unexpired about 56 years and need to extend it. Please can you advise me of the next steps
I am looking to either purchase the freehold or a lease extension of my property in Rainham Kent and have been in touch with the freeholder, have had quote for around £3k to extend the lease. I plan to simultaneously get a new mortgage with Barclays Direct to free up equity. The broker dealing with the remortgage suggested I get two quotes : one for the lease extension and one for outright purchase .The lease started in 1972 and since then the ground rent has increased from £25.00 per annum to £100 per annum.
I would like to know how much it would cost and the best way to get a lease extension started? I have nearly seventy years outstanding and I own a garden flat in Rainham Kent.
My solicitors (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
I am hoping to extend the lease on my maisonette in Rainham Kent I am looking for help to verify the premium. I have a quote from the landlord. I would like to go forward as soon as possible, but for the right premium and fee.
I am the freeholder of a Georgian property split into two flats. I live in the top floor flat and my neighbour in the lower flat. My neighbour has approached me for a lease extension from the current 77 years. What are my next steps?
I'm seeking some help concerning a lease extension on my apartment. I'll be looking to do this sometime next year as we need to move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Should I look to extend it now or wait until I sell my place and have it all tied in with the property sale?
My and my partner are worried about getting a lease extension from tricky freeholder. Even though the legal procedures were adhered to under the 1993 Act, the landlord still tried to charge ground rent of £300 increasing by 100% every 25 years of the new lease. Can you help?
We have a one bedroom apartment in Rainham Kent with a lease of seventy one years left with a value of around £290000 we want to add 125 years to it, how much is that likely to cost?
I have a lease of 76 years remaining on my flat in Rainham Kent. We are looking for a lease extension, so we contacted our freehold company and they came back with a quote that was double the amount and half the extension time that the lease extension calculator provided. Is there anyway, without racking up a huge legal bill, we can ask the freehold company to provide their computation of the amount and how they derived to it?
