My partner has an apartment in Padstow which we are about to put on the market. The leasehold has around 71 years balance left on it and we are concerned this will come up for anyone who may be interested. I am interested in more information on how we get started on a lease extension? Thank you.

I own a maisonette based in Padstow with a leasehold unexpired of seventy four years. I am wondering about how much I will need to spend to extend my lease
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I invested in buying a maisonette in Padstow. I am looking for a lease extension on the property. It is nearing eighty years. I would just like to know what your charges are and how long the process takes.

We have a one bedroom flat based in Padstow. There is 81 years unexpired on the lease and we want to extend the lease. What will it likely cost to extend in this area by, say,35 years
Me and my wife had entered into buying a ground floor flat in Padstow. I was advised by the EA that the lease extension had already been completed while on a viewing (fivety seven years outstanding prior to extension). The description on the listing stated "sold with a long lease". It transpires at the point of exchange of contracts we find that there has been no lease extension. The homeowner apparently has a quote but no finances to extend and consequently the homeowner intends to exchange and use the my deposit for the lease extension. My question is as the lease hasn't been extended is there not a danger that Santander won't lend on a lease?
Just a quick question, how much is the premium payable for a lease extension on a residential property in Padstow for a two bed flat - section 42 is already in place?
