Oundle Lease Extensions: Q and A’s
I am looking for a rough estimate of what a lease extension will cost for a flat I intend to buy. It has 58 years remaining.
Hi. I need a conveyancers to have a look at my lease extension before it's completed just to make sure there's nothing that I haven't seen - it's just a surrender and regrant with a few small amendments.
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
The terms for the lease on my apartment in Oundle are 99 years from 14 Feb 1990. Can you provide me a quote for a lease extension if I give you more details please?
I own a leasehold flat in Oundle. I have built a big extension and have not informed my leaseholder. What are my options?
I will soon view a one bedroom maisonette, although not exactly my dream property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present circumstances. However after downloading a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has 73 years left on the lease. It is also a repo so I'm assuming that the vendor will not be interested in extending the lease. My main concern is would it be difficult to sell on without a lease extension?
I am the owner of a purpose-built flat in a large development in Oundle. The leasehold interest in the apartment on a 99 year lease started on 11th January 1970 with a non-reviewable ground rent of £15 per annum. I wish to obtain a lease extension. Is it possible for me to call someone to go through my options please?
My lawyers (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
I am in need of some help with a lease extension. I live in Edinburgh but the property in question is based in Oundle. I would be grateful if you can give me a call when you get a chance to discuss the case.
I own the freehold of a couple of flats. Someone has the lease on the garden flat in Oundle. I reside in the top flat. I was looking at the land registry documents recently when I noticed that my flat is leasehold. There is seventy years remaining. Is it possible to do a lease extension without using a lawyers?
