Hello, I just randomly found this website. I'm looking for prices on what a lease extension will cost for a garden flat in Norris Green. It's on the market at the moment but has slightly more than 74 years left on the lease
I'm intending to make an offer on a house in Norris Green but I'm concerned about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Skipton Building Society giving us the mortgage now?
We have seen a house for sale for £185,000 and we are very interested but we've just found out that it is leasehold. There are 798 years remaining so a lease extension is not a concern. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without the house being ours. Any advice would be much appreciated.
My co-lessees and I are in a building of three flats in Norris Green and have been offered to buy the freehold for 7k per flat rather than go for lease extensions. We are all in agreement that we want to do this but how do we get started and what is the likely cost?
I will soon view a two bedroom maisonette, although not exactly my perfect property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after obtaining a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has seventy eight years remaining on the lease. It is also a repossession so I'm guessing that the vendor will not be interested in extending the lease. My main concern is would it be difficult to sell on without a lease extension?
I have my suspicions that my niece is being hoodwinked. She submitted an offer on a studio flat in Norris Green, where the lease is nearon 78 years but she was advised by the estate agents that the flat owner had extended it to 125 years. She has now been told the owner was waiting for her to instruct lawyers ahead of instigating the lease extension. Seems underhand, also it could take months to sort it all out. Am I being too sceptical?
I am planning to get a lease extension and am wondering which step I have to do first, I have been previously told that I have to have the finances in place before I set the ball rolling, is this correct?
I am hoping to extend the lease on my three bed flat in Norris Green I am looking for help to verify the premium. I have a premium value that the freeholder has given me. I would like to go forward as soon as possible, but for the right premium and fee.
I am the freeholder of a Georgian property split into two flats. I reside in the top floor flat and my neighbour in the lower flat. My neighbour has approached me for a lease extension from the current sixety one years. What are my next steps?
I'm looking at purchasing a flat in Norris Green at a price of £210,000 the flat has approaching seventy three years left on the lease. I put in an offer conditional upon a lease extension... .. that was back in November, expecting I'd be in before now. They have just come back saying that they are prepared to reduce the price by£2k if I deal with the lease extension myself. I'm not sure if I should take them up on the offer
