I purchased a flat in Morriston with a leasehold unexpired nearon 65 years and need to extend it. Please can you advise me of the next steps
My wife has an apartment in Morriston which we have just put on the market. The leasehold has nearon sixety one years left on it and we are concerned this will come up for anyone who may be interested. I am after more information on how we get started on a lease extension? Many thanks.
I own a maisonnette together with the freehold. My downstairs neighbours have asked to extend the lease what do I need to do?
I invested in buying a two bedroom second floor purpose built flat in Morriston. I am looking to extend lease on the property. It is nearon 80 years. I would just like to know what your charges are and how long it would take for completion.
We would like to extend our lease having owned the flat for 2 years as of 22nd March 2015. It has just over fivety six years remaining currently. Hoping to get a lease extension by way of an additional 90 years as quickly and stress free as is reasonably achievable.
If somebody owns a flat with a lease of under 80 years, they can afford the lease extension by borrowing the funds against the property, and the value of the flat with the new lease will more than cover the cost of the extension, then is there any justification for not extending the lease?
I'm seeking some assistance concerning extending the lease on my apartment. The plan is to do this sometime next year as we have to move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the LVT route. Do I look to extend it now or wait until I sell my place and have it all tied in with the property sale?
I am planning on refinancing my studio flat in Morriston and the bank that I am looking to switch to requires a minimum 85 years on the leasehold of my property in order for them to progress matters. We currently have around 56 years on the leasehold so require some help, guidance, and some quotes to get the wheels in motion for a lease extension
We currently own a garden flat in Morriston and are looking to sell it this year so we can carry out some improvements on our family home. I checked the lease and it has seventy one years left. Not sure what to do, have read some bits on the web saying it will be 13k plus to get a lease extension. Can you offer some advice on this? Do I contact the freeholder first and will they be able to give me a cost?
I am currently negotiating a lease extension for my flat in Morriston as it is coming up to the 80 year mark. As I understood it, if you extend your lease by the 90 years available, you pay a premium (£thousands) but the ground rent is reduced to a peppercorn. I am now told that I have to continue paying ground rent. I thought the major cost of a lease extension was to compensate the freeholder as they wouldn't be collecting ground rent anymore?
