We agreed with the head landlord to a lease extension on our flat in Midhurst, 8k for a further 90yrs. How long is the process ?
We have just acquired a one bedroom first floor purpose built flat located inMidhurst and I'm considering extending the lease as soon as possible e.g. in two years
I'm planning to make an offer on a house in Midhurst but I'm concerned about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Clydesdale giving us the mortgage now?
I have my suspicions that my niece might have had the wool pulled over her eyes. She submitted an offer on a ground floor flat in Midhurst, where the lease is slightly more sixety years but she was informed by the selling agents that the current owner had extended it to 125 years. She has now been informed the current owner was holding off for her to instruct lawyers prior to commencing with the lease extension. Sounds odd to me, also it may take months to sort it all out. Am I being too sceptical?
I am a freeholder of a block of flats in Midhurst, and the tenants are in the process of being given lease extensions. I should hopefully get funds next month. How does the tax work, the property is in joint names with my wife ?
We wish to extend our lease. We will have been in the apartment for 2 years as of 21st Jan 2015. It has roughly fivety five years remaining currently. Hoping to get a lease extension by another 90 years as expeditiously and stress free as possible.
We are acquiring a ground floor flat in Midhurst which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was on the short side so the vendor is in the process of extending the lease. The seller has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. A crucial aspect of the conveyancing process is for our to do a "priority search" on the property title. The problem here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new lease title number has not been issued. Is it right that we must be patient pending registration of the new lease?
I am the freeholder of a property in Midhurst where the leaseholder would like a lease extension. Her so called valuation expert has provided a figure of £8,000, but has increased this to £10,000 without too much effort. My valuer has come back with £12,520. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to LVT. If a lease extension does go to a FTT, can I deal with this myself, just armed with the valuations I have? If not, what charges would I be likely to face?
We have a one bed flat in Midhurst with a lease of sixety four years left with a value of around £370000 we want to add 90 years to it, how much is that likely to cost?
I'm looking for some advice with regard to a lease extension on my one bedroom ground floor purpose built maisonette in Midhurst. I'll be looking to do this sometime next year as we need to move at some point then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Can you recommend a good who specialises in lease extensions?
