I am looking for a lease extension on the lease on my three bedroom ground floor purpose built maisonette in Kentish Town which will have fivety five years left in January. What fees do you charge for this?
I am looking at investing in a holiday home but it has a lease that expires in 14 years. Its in Kentish Town - I wanted to see if with your services this could be extended?
We have seen a house for sale for £195k and we are very keen on but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 928 years outstanding so a lease extension is not a worry. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without owning the property. Any information would be much appreciated.
I am the owner of a maisonnette and the freehold of both flats. The owners of the downstairs flat have asked to extend the lease what do I need to do?
I'm thinking of purchasing a two bedroom first floor purpose built maisonette (leasehold) but the freeholder has been missing for just over 15yrs. I wonder whether it will be less expensive to try to purchase the freehold or to get a lease extension and apply for RTM?
I have a freehold of a one bedroom flat in Kentish Town. The leaseholders have seventy one years on a lease and wants to purchase another 90 years. The have offered me 22k. Is this around the right price?
I'm intent on buying an apartment in Kentish Town at a price of £195,000 the flat has just under seventy eight years unexpired on the lease. My offer was subject to a lease extension... .. that was back in September, expecting I'd have moved in before now. The seller has just come back saying they are willing to knock £4k off if they don't have to deal with the lease extension. I'm not sure whether that's a good idea
Me and my fiance are buying a maisonette in Kentish Town which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was starting to get low so the vendor commenced extending the lease. The vendor has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. An essential part of the house buying process is for our lawyers to do a "priority search" on the lease. The problem here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our conveyancers it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new lease title number is not known. Is it right that we must wait pending registration of the new lease?
I am currently negotiating a lease extension for my flat in Kentish Town as it is coming up to the 80 year mark. As I understood it, if you extend your lease by the 90 years available, you pay a premium (£thousands) but the ground rent is reduced to a peppercorn. I am now told that I have to continue paying ground rent. I thought the major cost of a lease extension was to compensate the freeholder as they wouldn't be collecting ground rent anymore?
Do you handle lease extensions on land? (a plot of land in Kentish Town with 82yrs remaining)
