Examples of recent questions relating to Lease Extensions in Idle
I have got a leasehold flat in the Idle area and was wondering if I could obtain a lease extension. What are your processes and fees. Has sixety four years outstanding
We have seen a house for sale for £215k and we are very keen on but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 899 years left so a lease extension is not a worry. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for twenty years without owning the property. Any help would be much appreciated.
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I would like to have my residential flat leasehold extension premium assessed. The flat is in Idle, and my lease will reach 73 years this May. Could you advise me about the costs and time-frame to obtain your valuation? Also, do you represent your clients at the LVT court?
I'm deliberating over purchasing a garden flat (leasehold) but the freeholder has been absent for about 15yrs. I wonder whether it will be less expensive to try to buy the freehold or to get a lease extension and apply for right to manage?
My mortgage provider requires several hundred pounds for their conveyancers to approve the lease extension deed for my flat in Idle... I am unable to find any mention of this in my mortgage literature... is this a usual charge?
I note that your website states the anticipated fee for dealing with a lease extension is £495. Is that the all inclusive cost excluding vat and the land registry fee? The premium has already been agreed with the freeholder for the lease extension for my 2 bed flat in Idle
My wife and I are aware that others in the same building had already had a lease extension, and the freeholder seemed amenable. Therefore is seems worth taking risk of avoiding a formal survey and base the initial offer on previous prices . This would save on double valuation charges. Would you recommend this course of action?
I require an estimate to extend my mother’s lease on a studio flat in Idle. She already has a figure from the freeholder for a lease extension but I am unclear whether it is too expensive.
