I just completed on a property in Horwich and it has around 77 years remaining. I'd like to arrange a lease extension by twenty years
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I own a maisonnette together with the freehold title. My upstairs neighbours have asked to extend the lease what do I need to do?
I will soon view a one bedroom flat, although not exactly my perfect property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after obtaining a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has 56 years unexpired on the lease. It is also a repo so I'm guessing that the bank will not be interested in extending the lease. My primary concern is would the short lease make it difficult to secure a mortgage?
I am a freeholder of a block of flats in Horwich, and the tenants are in the process of being given lease extensions. I anticipate receiving the money next week. As I am not on self assessment do I contact the tax authorities ?
We have a one bedroom flat located in Horwich. There is 81 years to run on the lease and we want to extend the lease. What does it cost on average to get a lease extension by, say, twenty years
I own 60% in a shared ownership flat with a housing association and I am considering a lease extension on a lease which is now around fivety eight years. I need a lawyers at my end. Can you advise please? I live near Horwich and have a mortgage with Skipton Building Society.
We are are hoping to complete on a garden flat in Horwich which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was starting to get low so the seller commenced extending the lease. The vendor has submitted the lease extension paperwork which will result in the registration of a new lease at the land registry. A crucial aspect of the house buying process is for our lawyers to do a "priority search" on the lease. The problem here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our solicitors it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new property title number has not been issued. Is it right that we have to be patient until the lease extension has actually been registered before completing.?
Hopefully an easy question for you, how much does it cost for a lease extension on a residential property in Horwich for a three bed flat - sec 42 is already in place?
We currently own a ground floor flat in Horwich and are looking to sell it this year so we can carry out some improvements on our family home. I checked the lease and it has seventy four years left. Not sure what to do, have read some bits on the web saying it will be 15k plus to get a lease extension. Can you offer some advice on this? Do I contact the freeholder first and will they be able to give me a cost?
