Common questions relating to Holsworthy Lease Extensions
I am fairly sure that our conveyancing practitioners has advised us incorrectly concerning a lease extension and I want to know how to complain
We have seen a house for sale for £195k and we are very keen on but we've just found out that it is leasehold. There are 928 years remaining so a lease extension is not a concern. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without owning the property. Any help would be much appreciated.
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
My co-lessees and I are in a block containing five flats in Holsworthy and have been offered to buy the freehold for 7k per flat rather than go for lease extensions. We are all in agreement that we want to do this but how do we get started and what is the likely cost?
I need to talk to you about an apartment in Holsworthy, I am thinking of bidding at auction in the next few days. The flat only has a few years unexpired lease and I was wondering about what it would cost to get a lease extension and for your services.
What will it cost me and what is the best way to get a lease extension started? I have nearly fivety seven years outstanding on my lease on a garden flat in Holsworthy. I have emailed the managing agents who act on behalf of the head landlord and they provided me with the number for the valuer. I left a phone message for the valuer but I am not getting any returned calls.
I am considering purchasing an auction property and came upon a studio flat in Holsworthy. It has just 41 year lease..the vendor as mortgagees in possession will not want to mess around with seeking a lease extension..what are the disadvantages of this other than the costly fee to extend the lease and decreased chance of obtaining a mortgage with Coventry Building Society?
We are buying a garden flat in Holsworthy which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was starting to get low so the owner is in the process of dealing with a lease extension. The seller has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. A crucial aspect of the conveyancing process is for our conveyancers to do OS1 search on the lease. The concern here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our conveyancers it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new lease title number is not known. Is it correct that we have to hold on until the lease extension has actually been registered before completing.?
I own the freehold of a couple of flats. Someone has the lease on the lower flat in Holsworthy. I reside in the top flat. I was looking at the land registry documents last night when I noticed that my flat is leasehold. There is fivety seven years left on the lease. Can one do a lease extension without retaining a conveyancing practitioners?
We have a garden flat in Holsworthy with a lease of seventy six years left with a value of around £290000 we want to add 90 years to it, how much is that likely to cost?
