I purchased a maisonette in Helsby with a leasehold unexpired of 60 years. I am curious about how much I will need to spend to extend my lease
I have been in touch with my freeholder for a lease extension for my flat in Helsby. His property lawyers has been in contact concerning costs etc. I need a ball park figure for dealing with the legalities to secure a lease extension. The flat currently has a 99 YR lease which started October 1985.
We purchased a leasehold with a landlord who has not given us a counter-notice for a lease extension for our flat in Helsby and looking to do a vesting order. Is this something you can handle for us?
Ref a property in Helsby. upper maisonette. 72 yrs left. I have negotiated a lease extension price of £20k for 135yrs. Landlord also requested Initial Notice which I think is a bit over the top. Can you assist.
Me and my fiance had entered into a purchase of a three bed flat in Helsby. I was advised that the lease had been lengthened (sixety three years unexpired lease prior to extension). The description on the listing said "sold with a long lease". It turns out at the point of exchange of contracts we find that the lease has not been extended. The current owner supposedly has a quote but no funds to extend and consequently the vendor wishes to exchange and use the 10% deposit to extend the lease. My question is as the lease hasn't been extended is there not a danger that it would breach my lenders lease length criteria?
I am looking for advice as I am interested in a property that has only a fivety four year lease and therefore requires a lease extension. Can I talk with someone to go through my options please?
Just been over two years that I have been in my garden flat in Helsby. I have 69 yrs unexpired lease on the lease. I am now wanting to purchase a share of freehold or a lease extension. I acquired the property for 350K, it is now roughly 450k. I understand that 90 years is the period most people extend. I spoke to my conveyancers about the process, he answered most of my questions but just have one left: What can I expect in terms of surveyors charges for a lease extension? Are they usually fixed or tend to increase over time (i.e. if the process drags to the tribunal etc)?
I own the freehold of a couple of flats. Someone has the lease on the garden flat in Helsby. I reside in the top flat. I was looking at the title deeds yesterday when I noticed that my flat has a lease on it. There is sixety seven years balance left. Is it possible to carry out a lease extension without instructing a lawyers?
We currently own a garden flat in Helsby and are looking to sell it this year so we can carry out some improvements on our family home. I checked the lease and it has sixety one years left. Not sure what to do, have read some bits on the web saying it will be 20k plus to get a lease extension. Can you offer some advice on this? Should I contact the landlord first and will they be able to give me a cost?
