Common questions relating to Heckmondwike Lease Extensions
I need to extend my current lease can you assist? I think it has fivety seven years residual lease term
We have seen a house for sale for £195k and we are very interested but we've just found out that it is leasehold. There are 899 years outstanding so a lease extension is not an issue. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without owning the property. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
I'm considering buying a maisonette (leasehold) but the landlord has been missing for around 15yrs. My query is would it be less expensive to try to buy the freehold or to get a lease extension and apply for right to manage?
I am a first time buyer of a leasehold flat in Heckmondwike. The lease has only 62 years remaining and ground rent is £50. Is it possible for the current owner to serve the Section 42 Notice and then transfer over the right to me as the buyer once I complete the buying process so that I can avoid waiting for the 2 year qualifying period before I can apply to for a lease extension or have to deal with all this expense later? I have read this is legal but will it be very time consuming to the seller? Unfortunately it’s the case of an missing landlord, so I am not sure how does it work.
I would like to know how much it would financials and the optimum way to start the lease extension process? I have around sixety six years remaining and I own a garden flat in Heckmondwike.
I'm intent on purchasing a flat in Heckmondwike at a price of £195,000 the flat has just under sixety two years unexpired on the lease. My offer was subject to the lease being renewed... .. that was back in August, hoping I'd be in before now. The seller has just informed me they are willing to knock £3k off if they don't have to deal with the lease extension. I'm not sure if I should take them up on the offer
We are in the throws of buying a flat (a one bedroom apartment inHeckmondwike with share of freehold). During our search, we were always looking at flats that had a minimum 84 years left on the lease. We came across a place we fell in love with and the estate agent assured that the lease was long albeit not specifying a number. Yesterday our solicitors informed us the lease only has 58 years and thus needs a lease extension. Do we walk away, or do we reduce our offer?
I'm seeking some assistance concerning a lease extension on my maisonette. I'll be looking to do this next summer as we need to move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Do I look to complete the lease extension now or wait until I sell my place and have it all tied in with the property sale?
I was hoping you might be able to tell me the process of how to apply for a lease extension for my three bed flat in Heckmondwike
