FAQs concerning Heacham Lease Extensions
I want to buy a leasehold property and extend the lease. The owner has been there over 2 years and will sign the notice. He will let me have the notice on exchange and then I will serve it in the landlord. Is this OK ?
We have seen a house for sale for £215k and we are very interested but we've just found out that it is leasehold. There are 899 years balance left so a lease extension is not required. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for twenty years without owning the property. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Do you only do lease extensions in Heacham? I own a flat in Abbey Wood with 90 years remaining, I am looking for a quote from a conveyancers.
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
Is it possible to talk with you about an apartment in Heacham, I am thinking of bidding at auction in the next few days. The flat only has a few years outstanding and I wanted to inquire about what it would cost to get a lease extension and for your services.
We have a GFF located in Heacham. There is 81 years to run on the lease and we want a lease extension. How much does it cost on average to get a lease extension by, say, fifty years
My conveyancers (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
My nephew has a share of freehold, with two other leaseholders in a building in Heacham. House split into three flats. He has a lease, which has approximately seventy nine yrs left. Does he have to do the lease extension at the same time with the other tenants, or could he extend the lease on his own?
I'm looking for some advice concerning a lease extension on my apartment. I'll be looking to do this next June as we need to move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Can you recommend a good property lawyers who specialises in lease extensions. Ideally based in Heacham?
Are you able to provide an estimate to extend my mother’s lease on a 2 bed flat in Heacham. She recently got a price from the landlord for a lease extension but I am not sure it is too high.
