We have just purchased a maisonette inHarton and I'm thinking about extending the lease as soon as I can e.g. in 24 months of ownership
My name´s Gabriel. I’m house hunting in Harton I'm seeing a three bedroom first floor purpose built flat online, with around 65 years remaining, how much will it likely cost to extend in this area by, say, 25 years?
I'm wanting to make an offer on a house in Harton but I'm a little worried about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Godiva Mortgages Ltd giving us the mortgage now?
I am the owner of a maisonnette and the freehold reversion. The owners of the upstairs flat have asked for a lease extension what do I need to do?
How much will it cost me and what is the best way to start the lease extension process? I have roughly sixety nine years outstanding on my lease on a garden flat in Harton. I have called the agent who act on behalf of the landlord and they gave me the number for the surveyor. I have contacted the valuer but I am not getting any returned calls.
We would like to extend our lease. We will have been in the apartment for 2 years as of 22nd May 2015. It has about seventy six years remaining currently. Hoping to get a lease extension by way of an additional 90 years as quickly and stress free as is reasonably achievable.
My lawyers (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
I am the freeholder of a property in Harton where the leaseholder has requested a lease extension. Her so called valuation expert has given a figure of £9,000, but has upped this to £10,000 at the drop of a hat. My surveyor has recommended a much higher amount. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to LVT. If a lease extension does go to a FTT, can I deal with this myself, just armed with the valuations I have? If not, what fee would I be likely to incur?
I have sixety years remaining on my lease of a ground floor flat in Harton, the Landlord requires a £18k premium for a statutory lease extension of 90yrs. I am looking for advice on whether this amount is too high
I am currently negotiating a lease extension for my flat in Harton as it is coming up to the 80 year mark. As I understood it, if you extend your lease by the 90 years available, you pay a premium (£thousands) but the ground rent is reduced to a peppercorn. I am now told that I have to continue paying ground rent. I thought the major cost of a lease extension was to compensate the freeholder as they wouldn't be collecting ground rent anymore?
