Questions and Answers: Great Barr Lease Extensions
I think our solicitors has advised us incorrectly concerning a lease extension and I want to know how to complain
We have seen a house for sale for £195k and we are very interested but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 798 years outstanding so a lease extension is not a worry. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without owning the property. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
I would like to have my residential flat leasehold extension premium valued. The flat is in Great Barr, and my lease will reach 77 years this March. Could you advise me about the costs and time-frame to obtain your valuation? Also, do you represent your clients at the Tribunal court?
I'm thinking of buying a one bedroom second floor purpose built maisonette (leasehold) but the freeholder has been missing for nearon 15yrs. My question is would it be cheaper to try to buy the reversionary title or to get a lease extension and apply for right to manage?
I am looking into the costs of carrying out a lease extension for my garden flat in Great Barr, and would like some figures on that.
I acquired a garden flat in Great Barr. I am looking to extend lease on the property. It is about eighty one years. I would just like to know what your charges are and how long it would take for completion.
My conveyancers (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
We have been in discussion with our freeholder after having a valuation on our maisonette in Great Barr. We have a seventy eight year lease and we wish to increase this to 99. The Freeholder has supplied us with a financial figure that he is happy with to accept for the extension of the lease, which we are happy with as well and wish to proceed. All we need now is a property lawyers to handle this for us. Can you please provide me what your costs would be to act on our behalf.
Me and my fiance are are hoping to complete on a maisonette in Great Barr which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was on the short side so the seller commenced dealing with a lease extension. The seller has submitted the lease extension paperwork which will result in the registration of a new lease at the land registry. An essential part of the house buying process is for our solicitors to do a "priority search" on the property title. The concern here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our lawyers it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new property title number has not been issued. Is it right that we have to hold on pending registration of the new lease?
I was hoping you might be able to tell me the process of how to apply for a lease extension for my garden flat in Great Barr
