I have got a leasehold flat in the Fulham area and was wondering if I could obtain a lease extension. What are your processes and fees. There are 74 years outstanding
I'm planning to make an offer on a house in Fulham but I'm a little worried about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Nottingham Building Society giving us the mortgage now?
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I have been in touch with my freeholder for a lease extension for my flat in Fulham. Her has been in contact concerning fees etc. I need a ball park figure for dealing with the legalities to secure a lease extension. The property currently has a 99 YR lease which started May 1992.

I am about to view a one bedroom flat, although not exactly my ideal property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after downloading a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has seventy eight years left on the lease. It is also a repossession so I'm guessing that the vendor will not be interested in extending the lease. My primary concern is would it be difficult to sell on without a lease extension?
I am a freeholder of a block of flats in Fulham, and the leaseholders are in the process of being given lease extensions. I should hopefully get funds next week. As I am not on self assessment do I contact the Inland Revenue ?
I intend to buy a one bed flat in Fulham for asking price of 145k, which has 59 years lease left on it. I appreciate that ideally, the seller would start the process by serving a section 42 notice to start the lease extension process but the seller is refusing to assist. My question is: If landlord does not agree to a marriage value (part of lease extension fees) of a valuer, how lengthy and easy is the process of going down the route of Leasehold Valuation Tribunal?

I have a lease of 77 years remaining on my flat in Fulham. We are looking for a lease extension, so we contacted our freehold company and they came back with a quote that was double the amount and half the extension time that the lease extension calculator provided. Is there anyway, without racking up a huge legal bill, we can ask the freehold company to provide their computation of the amount and how they derived to it?
