Questions and Answers: Fenny Stratford Lease Extensions
Hello, I stumbled upon this site. I'm seeking prices on what a lease extension will cost for a studio flat in Fenny Stratford. It's on the market at the moment but has slightly less than sixety seven years left on the lease
I think our conveyancing practitioners has advised us incorrectly concerning a lease extension and I would like to know how to go about making a formal complaint
I own a property in Fenny Stratford and it has around fivety seven years balance left. I'd like to extend the lease period
I plan on buying a flat in Fenny Stratford. My offer is subject to the lease extension. The vendor’s conveyancing practitioners has given to the freeholder the Section 42 Notice. Once this notice has been accepted by the freeholder, it is possible for the lessee to assign the benefit of that notice to me, the buyer, so that the buyer “stands in the shoes” of the Lessee, so to speak. I was wondering if this could be a problem for the mortgage lender Alliance & Leicester . Moreover, which are the following lease extension steps to complete the purchase?
We hope to sell our garden flat in Fenny Stratford but we may need a lease extension, or at least cover the expense of our buyers. Are you able to suggest someone to help us?
Possibly made an error, I am seeking a solicitors in Fenny Stratford who has Leasehold Tribunal expertise in relation to lease extensions. Are you able to assist me with?
We are proceeding with a purchase of a maisonette in Fenny Stratford. I was told that the lease had been extended (fivety eight years remaining prior to extension). The sales particulars stated "sold with a long lease". It transpires as we are about to exchange of contracts we find that there has been no lease extension. The vendor supposedly has a quote but no finances to extend and consequently the vendor wishes to exchange and use the 10% deposit to extend the lease. My question is why has this only just been brought to my attention by my conveyancers?
My lawyers (separately handling my lease extension) said I need a licence to alter given that I wish to carry out a loft extension to my property. Is this strictly required given that I have a share of the freehold. I've informally discussed the loft conversion with my co-freeholder some time ago and he had no objection once I reassured him that if my builder damages the roof I won't expect the co-freeholder to pay for future repairs to the roof. Assuming I need formal consent should I get the licence to alter and then start the lease extension process?
I'm intent on purchasing an apartment in Fenny Stratford valued at £256,000 the flat has something like 57 years unexpired on the lease. I put in an offer subject to a lease extension... .. that was back in September, expecting I'd have moved in by now. They have just come back saying they are willing to knock £4k off if I deal with the lease extension myself. I'm not sure if I should take them up on the offer
I'm looking for some advice with regard to a lease extension on my garden flat in Fenny Stratford. I'll be looking to do this sometime next year as we need to move at some point then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Can you recommend a good solicitors who specialises in lease extensions?
