I need to extend my current lease can you assist? I think it has 58 years left
Hi. I need someone to review my lease extension before it's formalised just to make sure there's nothing that I haven't seen - it's just a surrender and regrant with a few small changes.
I invested in buying a one bedroom apartment in Colyton. The lease commenced in 1998 for 99 years. Now I am looking to extend the lease. I am in the dark about further expenses, could you tell me please how much I should expect to spend on this?
I am about to view a two bedroom flat, although not exactly my perfect property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present circumstances. However after downloading a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has 54 years balance left on the lease. It is also a repossession so I'm assuming that the vendor will not be interested in extending the lease. My main concern is would the short lease make it difficult to secure a mortgage?
I am a first time buyer of a leasehold flat in Colyton. The lease has just 69 years balance left and ground rent is £25. Is it possible for the seller to serve the Notice of Claim and then assign over the right to me as the purchaser once I complete the buying process so that I can avoid waiting for the two year qualifying period before I can apply to for a lease extension or have to deal with all this expense later? I have read this may be possible but will it be very time consuming to the owner? Unfortunately it’s the case of an missing landlord, so I am not sure how does it work.
I am a freeholder of a block of flats in Colyton, and the tenants are in the process of being granted lease extensions. I should hopefully get funds next week. How does the tax work, the property is co-owned with my partner ?
I am the freeholder of a property in Colyton and a leaseholder would like a lease extension. Her so called valuation expert has given a figure of £8,000, but has increased this by £2,000 at the drop of a hat. My valuer has put forward a much higher premium. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to LVT. If a lease extension does go to tribunal, can I deal with this myself, just equipped with the valuations I have? If not, what costs would I be likely to face?
We know that others in the same building previously had a lease extension, and the freeholder seemed reasonable. Therefore is seems worth taking risk of not having formal survey and calculate the initial offer on previous premiums paid . This would save on double valuation fees. Is this advisable?
We have a one bed flat in Colyton with a lease of 55 years left with a value of around £410000 we want to add 90 years to it, how much is that likely to cost?
I have a lease of 56 years remaining on my flat in Colyton. We are looking for a lease extension, so we contacted our freehold company and they came back with a quote that was double the amount and half the extension time that the lease extension calculator provided. Is there anyway, without racking up a huge legal bill, we can ask the freehold company to provide their computation of the amount and how they derived to it?
