We are looking for lease extension for our apartment based in Chessington and we are confused by the communication that we got from our freehold company. How long will it take?
We agreed with the head landlord to a lease extension on our flat based in Chessington, 9k for another 90yrs. What's your solicitors fee ?
I’m about to offer on a garden flat to buy in the Chessington area and was curious how much would it cost for a lease extension? It has 61 years residual lease term...
Hello, I just randomly found this website. I'm seeking prices on what a lease extension will cost for a garden flat in Chessington. It's on sale at the moment but has circa seventy one years of unexpired leasehold
We have seen a house for sale for £185,000 and we are very interested but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 899 years left so a lease extension is not a concern. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this correct? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without the house being ours. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
I'm living with my mother and father but have a one bedroom apartment in Chessington let out which has a 70 year lease. Mortgage broker said I can remortgage as a buy to let instead of consent to let and release 55-60k which on top of a new mortgage based on my income. Not much about in Chessington for me to get my own place. If I sell I will only get 150-160 due to tenant (8 months left on AST) and lease. A lease extension will cost 19k. Should I keep or sell the flat?
My brother and I are in the throws of buying a home (a one bedroom first floor purpose built maisonette based inChessington with share of freehold). During our search, we were always looking at apartments that had a minimum 83 years remaining. We found a apartment we liked and the estate agent assured that the lease was long albeit not specifying a number. This morning our advised us the lease only has 55 years and therefore requires a lease extension. Do we walk away, or do we lower our offer by the estimated difference in value resulting from the short lease term setting aside that money to cover the lease extension?
I am the freeholder of a property in Chessington and a leaseholder would like a lease extension. Her valuer has provided a figure of £8,000, but has upped this to £10,000 without too much effort. My valuer has come back with £12,520. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to LVT. If a lease extension does go to a FTT, can I handle the matter myself, just armed with the valuations I have? If not, what costs would I be likely to incur?
We have a three bed flat in Chessington with a lease of 75 years left with a value of around £410000 we want to add 125 years to it, how much is that likely to cost?
I'm looking for some advice with regard to a lease extension on my garden flat in Chessington. I'll be looking to do this sometime next year as we need to move at some point then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Can you recommend a good who specialises in lease extensions?
