I just completed on a property in Camborne and it has nearon seventy seven years unexpired. I'd like to arrange a lease extension by twenty years
I'm planning to make an offer on a house in Camborne but I'm a little worried about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Virgin Money giving us the mortgage now?
We have seen a house for sale for £215k and we are very keen on but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 899 years outstanding so a lease extension is not required. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for 25 years without the house being ours. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
I am about to put an offer in on a garden flat in Camborne with a lease of sixety two years but have no idea what I will have to spend to renew so I can put in an offer given to future cost of a lease extension.
I'm looking for an apartment to purchase in Camborne and I'm not really familiar with the leasehold title. I've identified a one bed flat I like with a 82 years lease. I've read that I can get a lease extension having owned the property for 2 years, but:- Should I be looking at some caveats that would prevent me for getting a lease extension?
We have a ground floor flat in Camborne with 75 years unexpired. Last year we were quoted a deal to receive a lease extension for a further 25 years but also increase ground rent from nominal to a little more..plus a premium I think of approximately 10k. We have now decided to proceed but do we now have to renegotiate?
Coming up to two years that I have owned my one bedroom apartment in Camborne. I have 71 yrs outstanding on the lease. I am now looking either to purchase a share of freehold or a lease extension. I acquired the property for 350K, it is now roughly 445k. I understand that 90 years is the period most people extend. I spoke to my solicitors about the process, he answered most of my questions but just have one left: I realize this will cost me 10k+, it is not easy to drop the cash (even if I may have savings) to cover it. What do most people do in terms of funding the lease extension - do they add it to their existing mortgage or pay it out in cash?
Even though I may not need a lease extension but I do require a vesting order on a property I want to buy in Camborne. The house is freehold but the garden is officially leasehold, Nine hundred and ninety nine year lease from 1854. Its the garden area.
Me and my wife are purchasing a garden flat in Camborne which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was starting to get low so the owner is in the process of dealing with a lease extension. The owner has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. A crucial aspect of the house buying process is for our solicitors to do a pre-completion search on the property title. The problem here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our solicitors it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new lease title number has not been issued. Is it correct that we must wait pending registration of the new lease?
I was hoping you might be able to tell me the process of how to apply for a lease extension for my three bed flat in Camborne
