Brinsworth Lease Extensions: Q and A’s
My name´s Aaron. I’m house hunting in Brinsworth I'm seeing a three bed flat online, with around 70 years left, how much will it likely cost to extend in this location by, say, twenty years?
I bought a flat in Brinsworth with a leasehold unexpired roughly 75 years and need to extend it. Please can you clarify the next steps
I am looking at investing in a second home but it has a lease that expires in fifteen years. Its in Brinsworth - I wanted to see if with your services it is possible for this to be extended?
We have seen a house for sale for £215k and we are very interested but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 928 years outstanding so a lease extension is not required. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this correct? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for twenty years without owning the property. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
I would like to have my residential flat leasehold extension premium assessed. The flat is in Brinsworth, and my lease will reach seventy nine years this November. Could you advise me about the costs and time-frame to obtain an appraisal? Also, do you represent your clients at the LVT court?
Possibly made a mistake, I am actually looking for a property lawyers in Brinsworth who has Leasehold Tribunal expertise in relation to lease extensions. Are you able to assist me with?
I am looking to either purchase the freehold or a lease extension of my property in Brinsworth and have been in touch with the freeholder, have had quote for around £3k to extend the lease. I plan to simultaneously remortgage with Santander to release of equity. The broker dealing with the remortgage suggested I get two quotes : one to extend the lease and one for outright acquisition .The lease began in 1979 and since then the ground rent has been raised from £38.00 per annum to £125 per annum.
I am about to view a one bedroom flat, although not exactly my perfect property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after downloading a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has 54 years outstanding on the lease. It is also a repossession so I'm guessing that the lender will not be interested in doing a lease extension. My main concern is would it be difficult to sell on without a lease extension?
I am concerned that my niece is being hoodwinked. She put in an offer on a one bedroom apartment in Brinsworth, where the lease is circa sixety five years but she was told by the estate agents that the flat owner had extended it to 125 years. She has now been advised the flat owner was holding off for her to appoint solicitors before commencing with the lease extension. Sounds unscrupulous, also it could take time to sort it all out. Am I reading too much into it?
I note that your website states the anticipated fee to extend a lease is £495. Is that the total cost including vat and the land registry fee? The premium has already been agreed with the freeholder for the lease extension for my ground floor flat in Brinsworth
