I am the registered owner of a one bedroom first floor purpose built maisonette in Blakelaw. I am looking for a lease extension on the property. It is just under 80 years. I would just like to know what your charges are and how long it would take for completion.
I'm looking for a flat to buy in Blakelaw and I'm not really familiar with the leasehold title. I've found a garden flat I like with a 90 years lease. I've read that I can get a lease extension after 2 years, but:- Is this a given?
My flat in Blakelaw is up for sale and I have a hopefully firm offer. There is 79 years to run on the lease and I want to extend the lease. How much will it likely cost to extend in this location by, say,45 years
It says on your website the anticipated fee to extend a lease is £495. Is that the total cost including vat and the land registry fee? The premium has already been agreed with the freeholder for the lease extension for my maisonette in Blakelaw
I own the freehold reversion of a property in Blakelaw and a leaseholder has requested a lease extension. Her so called valuation expert has given a figure of £8,000, but has increased this by £2,000 at the drop of a hat. My surveyor has come back with £12,520. Negotiations have broken down so it looks at though we need to go to a FTT. If a lease extension does go to tribunal, can I deal with this myself, just equipped with the valuations I have? If not, what fee would I be likely to face?
I'm looking for some assistance with regard to a lease extension on my flat. I'll be looking to do this next June as we must move then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the LVT route. Can you recommend a good conveyancing practitioners with expertise in lease extensions. Ideally someone in Blakelaw area?
I am currently negotiating a lease extension for my flat in Blakelaw as it is coming up to the 80 year mark. As I understood it, if you extend your lease by the 90 years available, you pay a premium (£thousands) but the ground rent is reduced to a peppercorn. I am now told that I have to continue paying ground rent. I thought the major cost of a lease extension was to compensate the freeholder as they wouldn't be collecting ground rent anymore?
