I need to extend my current lease can you assist? I think it has 79 years left
This flat I have in mind requires only ground rent. Long lease so no lease extension required. I have asked the estate agents as to what happens to building insurance and responsibility for communal areas and if one of the two flats which make up the property wants to make alterations. They said they did not know. I cannot see how one could get buildings insurance for the whole building shared with another flat, either downstairs or upstairs. I do need to clarify things like this before I undertake all the expenses involved in purchasing a property I feel. Do freeholders actually supply their own insurance?
I am looking into the costs of carrying out a lease extension for my garden flat in Bishop Auckland, and would like some figures on that.
I am looking to either purchase the freehold or a lease extension of my property in Bishop Auckland and have been in touch with the freeholder, have had quote for around £3k to extend the lease. I will be doing a refinance with Bank of Scotland to free up equity. My broker handling the remortgage suggested I get two estimates : one to extend the lease and one for outright purchase .The lease commenced in 1972 and since then the ground rent has been raised from £15.00 per annum to £100 per year.
I am about to view a one bedroom apartment, although not exactly my dream property it has enough positives to suit me very well for my present situation. However after downloading a copy of the title I've learnt that it only has sixety one years residual lease term on the lease. It is also a repossession so I'm assuming that the lender will not be interested in extending the lease. My primary concern is would the short lease make it difficult to secure a mortgage?
My husband and I have a ground floor flat in Bishop Auckland with 76 years remaining. Last year we were quoted a deal to grant a lease extension for a further thirty years but also increase ground rent from notional to a little more..plus a premium I think of approximately 9k. We have now decided to proceed but do we now have to start the negotiations again?
We are considering buying a maisonette in Bishop Auckland which is a leasehold. I am wondering what are the pros and cons of that - what happens when lease expires, the cost of a lease extension, can the freeholder of the property evict me from my own flat and prevent me from extending the lease?
I am planning to extend the lease on my studio flat in Bishop Auckland I am looking for a local company to calculate the premium. I have a price from the landlord. I would like to go forward as soon as possible, but for the right premium and fee.
I'm looking for some advice with regard to a lease extension on my studio flat in Bishop Auckland. I'll be looking to do this sometime next year as we need to move at some point then. Unfortunately the current lease is now very short and therefore I'm guessing it'll be expensive to extend. I'm also thinking that I'll probably have to go down the tribunal route. Can you recommend a good conveyancing practitioners who specialises in lease extensions?
