Billingham Lease Extensions: Q and A’s
I am considering investing in a second home but it has a lease that expires in 14 years. Its in Billingham - I wanted to see if with your services it is possible for this to be extended?
I'm wanting to make an offer on a house in Billingham but I'm a little worried about it being leasehold. Do you know what title absolute means and is this regarding the lease? Also, we have asked to see a copy of the lease but the homeowner said they might not have it. We are worried about restrictions, and dont know what to do. We have also been approved for the mortgage but the lender doesn't know its leasehold. Do houses qualify for lease extension? Will this affect Clydesdale giving us the mortgage now?
I invested in buying a ground floor flat based in Billingham with a leasehold unexpired of seventy five years. I am enquiring about what I will need to spend to extend my leasehold
We invested in buying a leasehold with a freeholder who has failed to give us a counter-notice for a lease extension for our flat in Billingham and are therefore deliberating the option of a vesting order. Is this something you can help us with?
We are considering purchasing a maisonette in Billingham which is a leasehold. I am wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of that - what happens when lease expires, the cost of a lease extension, can the freeholder of the property evict me from my own flat and prevent me from having a lease extension?
We had entered into buying a studio flat in Billingham. I was advised by the EA that the lease extension had already been completed while on a viewing (fivety nine years unexpired lease prior to extension). The sales particulars said "sold with a long lease". It transpires at the point of exchange of contracts we find that the lease has not been extended. The flat owner supposedly has a quote but no finances to extend and consequently the current owner wants to exchange and use the deposit monies to extend the lease. My question is as the lease hasn't been extended is there not a danger that Santander won't lend on a lease?
Just been over 2 years that I have been in my maisonette in Billingham. I have sixety six yrs unexpired lease on the lease. I am now wanting to purchase a share of freehold or extend my lease. I acquired the property for 350K, it is now roughly 425k. I understand that 90 years is the period most people extend. I spoke to my property lawyers about the process, he answered most of my questions but just have one left: In terms of surveyors - how do I go about finding one?
Hopefully an easy question for you, how much are the legal fees for a lease extension on a residential property in Billingham for a three bed flat - sec 42 having been issued?
I am the registered freeholder of a couple of flats. Someone has the lease on the garden flat in Billingham. I reside in the top flat. I was looking at the land registry documents yesterday when I noticed that my flat has a lease on it. There is 74 years left. If I want to do a lease extension then would I simply be paying for the conveyancing practitioners charges?
We currently own a maisonette in Billingham and are looking to sell it this year so we can carry out some improvements on our family home. I checked the lease and it has seventy eight years left. Not sure what to do, have read some bits on the web saying it will be 20k plus to get a lease extension. Do you have some advice on this? Should I contact the freeholder first and will they be able to give me a cost?
