I own a leasehold flat in the Ash area and was curious whether I could obtain a lease extension. What are your processes and fees. There are seventy eight years residual lease term
I am in need of a rough estimate of what a lease extension will cost for a flat I intend to purchase. It has seventy six years unexpired.
We have seen a house for sale for £215k and we are very interested but we've just discovered that it is leasehold. There are 798 years remaining so a lease extension is not a concern. We didn't know what this meant but the internet suggests we wouldn't own the land or property, just the lease to live there. Is this true? We wouldn't want to pay a mortgage for twenty years without the house being ours. Any help would be much appreciated.
I am looking to buy a garden flat in Ash with a lease of sixety two years but not sure how much it will cost me to renew so I can put in an offer given to future cost of a lease extension.
I need to talk to you about a flat in Ash, I am thinking of bidding at auction next month. The flat only has a few years left and I am curious about what it would cost to get a lease extension and for your services.
I am a freeholder of a block of flats in Ash, and the lessees are in the process of being issued lease extensions. I anticipate receiving the money next week. Are there any tax implications, the property is co-owned with my husband ?
Coming up to 2 years that I have owned my garden flat in Ash. I have 79 years outstanding on the lease. I am now wanting to buy a share of freehold or extend my lease. I acquired the property for 320K, it is now roughly 450k. I understand that 90 years is the period most people extend. I spoke to my about the process, he answered most of my questions but just have one left: What can I expect in terms of surveyors charges for a lease extension? Are they usually fixed or tend to increase over time (i.e. if the process drags to LVT)?
My partner and I are are hoping to complete on a garden flat in Ash which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was on the short side so the vendor commenced extending the lease. The vendor has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. An essential part of the house buying process is for our to do a "priority search" on the property title. The concern here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new lease title number has not been issued. Is it right that we must wait pending registration of the new lease?
My son is concerned about seeking a lease extension from a difficult freeholder. Notwithstanding that the legal procedures were followed under the appropriate legislation, the landlord still attempted to charge ground rent of £200 increasing by 100% every twenty years of the new lease. Can you assist?
We currently own a garden flat in Ash and are looking to sell it this year so we can carry out some improvements on our family home. I checked the lease and it has sixety two years left. Not sure what to do, have read some bits on the web saying it will be 13k plus to get a lease extension. Do you have some advice on this? Should I contact the freeholder first and will they be able to give me a cost?
