The terms for the lease on my flat in Alvaston are 101 years from 14 Jan 1980. Please give me a quote for a lease extension if I give you more details please?
I am a landlord of a block of flats in Alvaston, and the lessees are in the process of being issued lease extensions. I should hopefully get funds next week. As I am not on self assessment do I contact the Inland Revenue ?
Re a leasehold in Alvaston. GFF maisonette. 60 yrs unexpired. I have negotiated a lease extension price of £14k for 115yrs. Landlord also requested Notice of Claim which I think is a tad over the top. Advice required.
We are proceeding with buying a one bedroom apartment in Alvaston. I was assured that the lease had been lengthened (sixety seven years unexpired lease prior to extension). The description on the listing said "sold with a long lease". It turns out as we are about to exchange of contracts we find that the lease has not been extended. The flat owner apparently has a quote but no money to extend as a result the current owner wants to exchange and use the my deposit for the lease extension. My question is is it not odd that my property lawyers didn't pick this up far earlier than just before exchange?
We are buying a one bed flat in Alvaston which has share of freehold and a leasehold. The lease was on the short side so the seller is in the process of extending the lease. The vendor has submitted the lease extension paperwork to HMLR. An essential part of the house buying process is for our lawyers to do OS1 search on the property title. The concern here is that as a lease extension has been submitted we've been told by our lawyers it may not be possible to do this "priority search" right now as the new property title number is not known. Is it correct that we must wait until the new lease is registered?
Me and my wife are hoping to buy a property (a garden flat inAlvaston with share of freehold). Throughout our search, we were always looking at flats that had a minimum 84 years balance left. We found a flat we fell in love with and the selling agent promised us that the lease term was not an issue. Yesterday our conveyancing practitioners told us the lease only has 66 years and thus needs a lease extension. Do we walk away, or do we negotiate our offer?
I own the freehold reversion of a property in Alvaston where the leaseholder has requested a lease extension. Her valuer has provided a figure of £9,000, but has increased this to £10,000 at the drop of a hat. My valuer has recommended a much higher figure. She does not appear to wish to negotiate wanting to go to a FTT. If a lease extension does go to tribunal, can I deal with this myself, just equipped with the valuations I have? If not, what charges would I be likely to incur?
